mama2beee :  I haven’t taken it but did your gyno tell you what to expect? I would continue taking it until you can get in touch with your doctor.

Hi!!!! I didn’t get my period after coming off the pill for 6 months! Took one dose of Provera and was upset when I didn’t get my period again – but it was because I was pregnant!  Sadly ended in miscarriage.   Basically for me it just jump started my cycle.

I’m 8 days past my last dose and am still waiting for my period. I was told 2-14 days after my last dose as well.

mama2beee :  they did do multiple blood tests with me!  All my hormones were normal, but apparently not ovulating… she said my LH was normal and looked like my body “wanted” to ovulate, but just needed a kick start.

I had a D and C first week of October and this is our first cycle trying…. however it’s techinally day 31 of my cycle and no period and took a FRER yesterday and it was negative!!! Ugh!  It’s frusturating when you don’t have a normal cycle as you constantly wonder if you are pregnant or just not ovulating?!?

The thing with Provera is it’s actually just a check to make sure your progesterone levels are ok. If they aren’t high enough they can’t prescribe fertility drugs… I don’t think it is used very often by itself… usually it’s paired with a variation of chlomid I believe….
