I had originally planned my party to be at Dave and Busters because of my conservative Maid/Matron of Honor. However, she unfortunately can’t attend and now I want to get alittle bit crazier! I’m looking for ideas of things to do/places to go for a crowd of 6-7 ladies in their early 30’s.
I need ideas quick! It’s on Saturday!

I’m RI born and raised…living in VA now but moving back to RI in 3 months! I got so excited when I saw “PROVIDENCE” haha! We did my Bachelorette in Providence. We planned to bar hop, but ending up just going to a local pub for a few and then headed to McFadden’s around 10pm. I think you would like McFadden’s. They move all of the tables out of the way at 10pm so it’s a dance floor with 2-3 bars (depending on if the back room is open or not) and there is a DJ. You could also make dinner reservations of you wanted to eat there beforehand. The crowd tends to be a little older than the usual college aged crowd elsewhere, too.
Hope this helps a little!

@ethorn13: Thanks! I am going back and forth between going to Providence as originally planned or just going to Foxwoods…I know Foxwoods like the back of my hand so I’m not sure….yikes!

Yay for Providence!
@ethorn13 McFadden’s actually closed this past summer 🙁
@rubybride718 How about a pole dancing class – there are many studios in the area that cater to bachelorettes. Or check out Vanity – new restaurant/ lounge in downtown Providence near Whiskey Republic that has a speakeasy vibe to it. The crowd is more late twenties. They have a great menu and it turns into a more upscale night time crowd around 11. Think more upscale than a bar but less so than a club.
You could also look into Waterplace/ The View if it’s nice out they have the whole upper deck/ rooftop open for drinking and dancing. Or if you want something more low key – try the Hookah Bar on Federal Hill (Nara) or Thayer street (Byblos). Karta Bar is great for cocktails and Thayer street is an awesome location with a lot in the area if you wanted to bar hop.
Hmm.. there’s a lot of options! PM if you need more suggestions. I was born and raised in RI, work in downtown Providence and still look for new and fun things to do! And m bachelorette will be in this great little city as well!

@KatieD52413: WHAT?!?!?! How sad – I spent my early 20’s there every Thursday night!

@ehorn13 I did too!! It had kind of lost it’s edge in the past few years unfortunately. But there’s a lot of new places for you to come back to!

Hey ladies! I’m helping plan a bachelorette party for the end of this month (I know, cutting it close!). I have some ideas but transportation is kind of worrying me….
We are considering going to the dueling piano bar in Providence but also love the new chic hotel Nylo in Warwick. What’s killing me is how are we safely going to get from Providence to Warwick without spending a ton of money?! I’m only one of two in the bridal party so these costs and logistics are on us….
Staying at Nylo is not neccessary since we could stay at the brides house (she lives in Warwick) but the question still stands – how to get safely home. Everything I’ve looked up so far about RI taxis is frightening. Do we have to reconsider Nylo and just stay in Providence so a taxi ride to the hotel is reasonable?!

I’m pretty familiar with Providence but not so much with the nightlife. I’m planning a joint bachelor/bachelorette party and had been thinking McFaddens all along. Just realized they closed. Now I’m looking at the Whiskey Republic but open to suggestions for alternatives.
Definitely looking for a casual place but also want dancing. The piano bar and hookah bars will not work for this couple.
We’re going to stay at the Biltmore but will be open to going probably anywhere in the city. What are the options most like what McFaddens was? The reviews I read for the new place there were terrible.
The party date is less than a month away so I need suggestion asap!
