Its normal practice where I’m from and just kind of being nice.  Our photographer is driving for an hour to get to our venue early in the morning to scope the place out, so I am definately making sure when we have our bridal party breakfast and lunch he comes and sits down with us so he is getting the energy he needs and isn’t running on empty, and when it comes to dinner we are getting the bartender, the chefs and the kitchen hands to eat in the kitchen or dining room if they like, and I have seated our photographer at one of the tables since he will be shooting for over 10 hours most likely 🙂

Yes. Checked with our venue and photographers normally just had a main meal and drink in bar which was added to our pre-order.

Standard practice.  I have to provide meals for all my vendors, and the venue does not give any other option but full price.  I would have fed them regardless, but I am a little burned up we cant bring outside food for them or get discounted meals.  Its basically adding around 600 dollars to our tab.

Summer, I agree with you.  i think one thing that should be on a checklist when comparing costs of venues is do they have diferent prices for kids and vendors.  To me, at a minimum, you shouldnt have to provide them with alcohol.
