Petal Happy IS a rip off! I was one of the contest winners. No where did they disclose you could only use the gift card for certain things! I tried to place an order and then was told half wasnt covered by the gift card! And now the lady isnt returning my emails! BUYER BEWARE!!!! You have to go through emails to place orders because there website is all screwy.
So brides to be- BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY! Any DIY Bride could make this herself with $20 runner and a couple bags of petals!

The contest was pretty clear: “And today they’re giving away $200 gift certificates to 5 lucky Weddingbee readers to be used on any custom made Petal Happy aisle runner or carpet.”
Were you trying to buy something other than a carpet or runner?

No I was buying an aisle runner that was $145 and was told that not all of that was covered by the $200 gift card.

Dana, true, but even if she misunderstood or goofed and tried to order something else—they should at least email her back. Good customer service is so hard to find nowadays.
If you haven’t paid anything yet then I’d just say forget it and move on. That’s a sweet offer to have $200 off but don’t hassle with someone who has poor customer service. Just imagine if you paid for the thing already and they never sent it or took forever to get back to you….yikes.
Edit: OOOH, so maybe since your purchase was less than the gift card they don’t want to have a balance left or deal with giving you the leftover possibly, maybe? Hmmm, strange.

I know, Curly Sue – I was just wondering. The customer service still sounds really crappy.
Mrs. KK, why don’t you send a message to someone at WeddingBee? If one of their partners/sponsors isn’t making good on their promises, they’ll want to know.

I was also a contest winner – I ordered the Petal Ribbons without any problem, they applied my $200 dollar discount to the purchase with no questions asked – I can’t do a complete review because I haven’t received my petal ribbons yet.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I just emailed back the lady from weddingbee would emailed me and told me I was a winner.
Ms. Mini~ If you dont mind me asking was your purchase for more than the $200 gift card?
I am getting married outside and wanted to get the petal ribbons too and only need the 25 foot length cause we are not having a long aisle.
They sent me this email
“N,
Here is your requested price breakdown:
Wedding Date: September 11th, 2010
Product: (2) Petal Ribbons
Colors: White 50%, Red 25%, Cream 25%
Width: 8″
Length: 25′
Price: $145
Shipping and Handling: $35
(Gift Certificate: $200)
Grand Total: $0
Please note: It takes 4 to 8 weeks to receive an order.
Should you have any other questions please do not hesitate to ask.”
When I emailed to confirm, they sent me back an email telling me I needed to pay them. Even thought they said the grand total was $0

Maybe there was just some confusion? Is there not a phone number to call at all?!

Sounds like there was some confusion. I’d call them. Also, is it really only 8 inches wide? That doesn’t seem like a wide enough asile runner.

Never mind, I see now that you choose the ribbons not the asile runner

Mine was over $200 – so I guess it is really just an issue of them wanting to make money over and above the $200 credit.

I have trying to place the order with Petal happy and they have not answered my emails. They just sent me an email saying that the quote has expired and the price went up from $145 to $230 and I will have to pay the new price. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! There email said nothing about the quoted price ever expiring.

Wow, they are aeriously pretty.
I had a look at the website and I bet the issue is that the comp states an Aisle Runner or Carpet. Starting price for the Aisle Runners on the webiste is $460. Therefore even giving you the $200 discount from the comp they are still making money.
However, by your quote you order the Petal Valley Runner which is a different and cheaper product. And the Petal Valley Runner isn’t listed in the competition description.
It is unfortunante that is if this is the case that they haven’t communicated well with you to explain this and you would hope that a business such as this took customer satisfaction seriously and were making an effort to resolve the issue with you. Possibly a solution could be to work out the percentage that was being taken off the more expensive aisle runner and offer you the similar percentage off of the cheaper valley runner???
As for the price changing, normally websites have a terms of use page that states prices are subject to change without notice (amongst other things), and I am suprised that this one doesn’t. I know In Australia pages like these are required by law. However when I went and checked out their web designer information it went to a source for free online templates, which tells me they did the site themselves and are probably a bit naieve to such inclusions. (sorry worked in a Web Design Firm for 5 years, and its coming out)
I hope it gets resolved for you quickly

If the problem was that the ribbons she ordered weren’t allowed how did the other winner recieve hers?
