@bellaluna290:  So true on being a different size in different brands. I’m a 36GG in my everyday bras, and a 38G in the fancier ones I wear.

I never would have thought that because i have a gap between the top of my breast and my bra that i was wearing one that was too small. I totally thought it was the opposite

@cbee:  You can find a bra that fits! I used to think that I would never find one either as I have a small torso and large bust but it is possible! I’ve done the measurements as stated above using a tape measure and found my ideal size (32G) and then ordered that size bra from Le Mystere on Bare Necessities.com or FreshPair.com and it is the best fitting bra I have ever bought. Buying online can work!

Le Mystere had an excellent tutorial on how to use the measuring tape to figure out your size and they had a useful sizing chart, too.

@SpecialSundae:  If I could get onto the website at work I would do the leg-work myself, but there was a really helpful thread on Reddit.com a while back regarding measuring yourself for a proper fit.

If anyone would care do perform a search, the username of the person who gave the measurement explanation was “mywifeisbusty,” and my (busty) SIL found the information very helpful 🙂

I got sized at VC, tried on bras in that size, then ignored what they’d told be because those bras obviously didn’t fit.  However, if you know your size (based on the fit cues given by OP) and fit into VC sizing, I really like their “bra box” option where they give you a box of every bra they have in store in your particular size.  So much easier to find a comfy bra than picking things out based on how they look in the store.

Check figleaves.com too, once you know your size!

Panache is an AWESOME brand.  I wear a 32J and they are the BEST.

There is a store called Intimacy that does bra fittings….they carry every size imaginable.  There are only a handful of them around the country, but I know they have them in like, Boston, Chicago, New York, Atlanta…

@vorpalette:  I love how you say a 32C is an odd size, because I’m a 32DD (I think I’m bigger but thats what the trust VS girl told me….). I literally can’t find a good/cute bra anywhere! I’m glad I’m not the only one with a weird size!

I should be a 30DD, but I end up getting 32Ds (I think my boobs might have grown, though) at VS because they fit well enough that I can’t really complain. There’s not a specialty store around here that carries my size, and I really don’t want to buy online…

But I didn’t let them size me. I learned how a bra is supposed to fit, measured myself, and then went with the closest I could find in any store.

Any Chicagoland Bee’s…  I would HIGHLY recommend you go to Tina’s Closet in Lisle. Oprah even featured her on a show!  She’s that good!  Well, I actually don’t like Oprah, but I do think she knows what she’s talking about.  ANYWAY, it’s worth the trip!

Thank you! I recently got sized at VS and left the store right after without buying anything because they pissed me off with the size they came up with.  The bra didn’t fit right & my girls looked funny.  Long story short, I’m sticking with the size I’ve been wearing.

@MeiFrancis:  Agreed VS FINALLY started making my size so I can shop there now. 32DD. You wouldnt think it was THAT difficult. They actually started carrying this size in bandeau bikini tops which makes me happy since we are having a DW!

For any Cincinnati area bees, Knickers in Hyde Park Square is amazing!!

@IUrebekah3RT:  Well I’m glad I’m not the only one with 32DD!
