You will LOVE it!!!

Magen’s Bay in St. Thomas is paradise on earth ๐ŸŒ

St. Maarten is beautiful, and St. Lucia is exquisite with the Piton Mountains in the background!

I freaking love Barbados too!

St. Kitts was a bit meh, and every time I go to Puerto Rico it rains and pours lol I think I have bad luck there. I’ll be back to PR in a few weeks for another cruise so I guess we’ll see if it’s sunny this time there!

Enjoy your trip! It sounds lovely ๐Ÿ™‚

I’m from the US Virgin Islands. I’m a Crucian so biased and prefer St. Croix over St. Thomas or St. John.

laceyjoxo :  I lived in PR for a year as an exchange student in college and my favorite cousin flew down and took me on a cruise around the islands to celebrate my 21st. It was an AMAZING year and trip. Gorgeous place, great people, wonderful dancing and partying and stellar food. Have a wonderful time!

I’ve only been to the airport in Puerto Rico, but I went to the VI for 10 days once and LOVED it.  I’m going on a cruise in June (same dates as you!) and one of our stops is St. Thomas.  We’re going to take a taxi to the Red Hook ferry and go over to St. John.  Every one in my party wants to snorkel Trunk Bay, which is amazing.

We’re also stopping at St. Kitts, which I’ve never been to.  Most likely we’ll do a beach/shopping day there!

Have a great time! I did a very similar cruise when I was 12 – long time ago, but loved it. It left from San Juan and stopped at St. Thomas, St. Maarten, Barbados, Dominica, and Martinique. Highly recommend going over to St. John by ferry while you’re on St. Thomas.

JsDragonfly :  Awesome that you’re going to St. John – we also snorkeled at Trunk Bay while there on a cruise and we took the ferry over from St. Thomas. It was so beautiful.

I love St. Thomas!  I have friends who have lived there for around 15 years, up until Maria/irma came and destroyed their home.  I have been down at least 5 times and am going back in January 2020!  St. John was beautiful, but I haven’t spent much time there.

I honestly didn’t love St. Lucia though, but I know a lot of people who do.

sankwa :  I have never been to St. Croix and really want to check it out!  My fiance lived there for about 3 years during a work assignment and loved it!

My fiance and I go to St. Thomas frequently and absolutely love it.  Ferry to St. John if you can, the beaches there are absolutely pristine.  Honeymoon Beach is a favorite.  Have fun!!

I’ve been to St. Thomas once – I didn’t love it, but I think perhaps I wasn’t in the right area. I’ve been to Puerto Rico 3 times, twice for a day during a cruise and once during an extended vacation, and I love it there. Amazing food, the beaches are gorgeous, there’s some culture and history there, plus beautiful wildlife and hiking. Lots of things to do! I definitely recommend.
