I would continue calling these people.  Not text or not email, but actual phone calls.

And then if your deadline passes, mark them as a no.

If they show up and are embarassed, it is at their own doing.  A good caterer will squeeze people in somewhere if they are not on the board.

I’d call them, that way you get the answer right there & then.

I feel your pain. I’ve still got about 15 RSVP’s outstanding and the date was yesterday. I’m going to start calling this weekend, and am giving it until the 13th, which gives me a day to figure out how many tables I need from the rental company so I can let them know by the 14th.

I feel your pain times 20. Our RSVP date was Nov 30, and we have 46 RSVP cards still with no response. Really people?? And our wedding is in less than 4 weeks and they have known for a YEAR when the wedding was.

REALLY people???

@mchitt329:  I am going to start next week on facebook/email/texting. Then if that doesn’t work after a week, calling, showing up at their house maybe (ha). I don’t have to let my caterers/cake know the final count until 5 days before my wedding (which is awesome) so I still have time

@mchitt329:  I’m going to wait until the weekend and start making calls. A couple of people have told other people they may not come, so if I don’t hear by them by the time I have to have my final count, I’m going to assume they’re no’s. I’d rather have a definite answer, but I think some of these people are just going to be rude.
