Its a bit of an odd one, but someone might know the answer!
I’ve got a tiara that has broken, and even if it could be fixed its not something I’d wear on my wedding day. So I was wondering whether it’d be possible to pull it apart, take the stones out and set the stones into gold to make something else? Like earrings or a ring?
Obviously the stones have no value, but would it be possible to make something out of them?

@Laurengrapes: Do you have any pictures of what the tiara looks like? I think if you were able to take pieces out of it you technically could make some jewelry from it if you knew how to.

Absolutely, I’ve spoken with a jeweler who does a lot of special cutom pieces for clients out of stones that are completely worthless apart from sentimental value, so it for sure can be done. 🙂

I think it is quite pretty!! Sure you can upcycle it! You just need a jeweler that will do that with you.

If you decide to reset the stones, look on websites like FireMountain gems, they have rings and settings that you can set yourself!!
