anonbee3584 :  I had a simular situation my little one would not latch. I tried pumping and formula. For me I had to switch 100% to formula.  I felt like between feeding my baby, pumping, washing the pumping pieces…there just wasnt much time to sleep! It was really starting to drain me mentally and emotionally as well. Also looking back I dont think I was pumping enough as my breast were so engorged and painful. I see advice from a pp that you can put the parts in fridge and only wash them once a day. I didnt know about that! Honestly I had just planned to breastfeed and figured I would worry pumping when I went back to work. I was unprepared ro exclusively pump and so sleep deprived I couldnt really give it the research I should have.

Long story short after 2 weeks I switched I switched to 100% formula and I was mentally so much happier!! My daughter is 16 months and is healthy. You just have to do what is best for you!

I see others on here have given you great advice on pumping so if you feel its important to you and want to keep trying sounds like you have given great advice! If you think you will mentally and emotionally better off switch to formula…then switch!

I dont think there really is a right answer just what is right for you!!
