I totally think pumpkins are appropriate in November!  They’re more fall to me than Halloween as long as they aren’t carved.

ETA: Also, I think mini pumpkins are absolutely adorable!

Definitely appropriate. Pumpkins are autumnal. Think cornucopia, fall harvest. ๐Ÿ™‚ Great choice.

Oh yeah, totes appropriate. You could also tie a pumpkin pie recipe to each pumpkin – then they could eat it or display it!

@Beluga: Oooh, I like that idea! Who doesn’t love pumpkin pie?

@OP: If you need reassurance, just look at any fall catalogue’s holiday decor! (Think Pottery Barn/Restoration Hardware/etc) They always have pumpkins/gourds and things like that for fall and Thanksgiving themed “tablescapes”. ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m sure it will look awesome.

As people have said, they are a fall veggie. Think about when you eat that pumpkin pie… The END of November, so I definitely think they are appropriate. ๐Ÿ™‚ I love pumpkins! I always plant way too many, and then they rot on my sidewalk. Whoops!

    I love the idea!

But I’m thinking more along the lines of acorn squash instead!

They are much more affordable and I notice that pumpkins get harder to find after Halloween. Whereas squash varieties are in abundance through the winter months!

I am doing the same thing. My wedding is November 12. I am have a red theme to match the red train in my dress but incorporating pumpkins into the decor for the fall effect. You’ll have to imagine the white table cloth and dark red organza table runner. Still a work in progress!

I actually think pumpkins are more appropriate for November then October.  In October it might seem too Halloween-y and themey, but in November it more clearly relates to autumn in general.  Really cute idea!
