My husband and I always debate about this. I was taught to put two spaces between sentences. He thinks it is wrong! π

You’re right! Single space after commas and other ‘pause’ punctuation, but two spaces after ‘stop’ punctuation!
Associated Press (journalism) style says one space, so that’s how I always do it. If it’s an English paper or you weren’t trained as a journalist, two spaces are good! It just looks uneven to me now, so I stick with my single space.
Single space for me!
It depends on how desperate I am to make it to the next page in an essay. π I remember being taught 2 spaces, but unless I’m trying to get extra pages on a paper, I don’t really use it.
@amariem25:I whole-heartedly agree with your husband. Double spaces were used when people typed on typewriters because of the typesetting. The spacing made the monotype easier to read. There is no need to do so on a computer.
definitely double space. That’s the way I was taught in high school, college and law school.
