kaitlynaubrey01:  I have more an open mind when it comes to trying new foods than my husband, but we just took a pepto tablet every morning and were fine. I think I gained 10lbs. eating french toast every morning.

My uncle (who travels internationally ALL the time) suggested taking the Pepto tablets, and we also had liquid Imddium with too. I only got a sour stomach once, and that was in the morning when I went to watch the sun rise. I wandered the resort, since no one was really up, and got a cappuccino. I drank that and was in the bathroom almost immediately. Other than that, no real issues with the food, for me anyway.

We JUST got back from Punta Cana for our honeymoon (take me back!!!) It was beautiful and amazing!! We didnt jam pack our trip with excursions, but did do a few.

We went parasailing which was fun. We both had never done it and it was neat to see the views from way up high!

We went on a day trip to the island of saona- which included jet boats, snorkeling and taking a catamaran back. This day trip was super fun and nice to see a little more than just the resort!

My hubs went on a deep sea fishing trip one day. Guess it was really rough so I’m super glad I didnt join for this one, but he had fun and caught 2 mahi mahi tunas. This day I went to the spa and had the best massage/facial ever!!

Other than those things we mainly just relaxed, ate and drank and it was heavenly!! Yea for Punta Cana!

nikkikeesee:  We went to Punta Cana on our honeymoon we stayed at CHIC for 10 days. We chilled by the pool a lot and did a few excurstions  We did the monkyland excoursion, extreme zip lining, one of the day trips to an island and the one where you can walk on the ocean floor. The monkey one was my favorite.

you must get a dirty monkey while sitting by the pool!

bekahrose86:  We stayed at The Level for a week last fall for our honeymoon. The resort itself was great. The restaurants at The Level definitely had better food than the Melia restaurants, although I will say that we sprung for the steak/lobster place one night and it was 100% worth it. The beach was beautiful, the pool was great, and overall it was a wonderful week.

My only two complaints were first that the resort was HUGE, and The Level is kind of isolated from the restaurants and shops, but that also gives you lots of privacy and the feel of a smaller resort. Also, I thought the spa treatments were not great, although they were fairly priced compared to other resorts.

If you can, ask for a room in building 24 or 36–those two are closest to the beach, and 36 is the quietest although it’s also the longest walk to the bar.
