@molliechristine: AWESOME! I know from experience especially since you live in an apartment that English Bulldogs will be amazing apartment dogs.

Pros:

– They aren’t big barkers such as chihuahuas and poms which may make some neighbors angry because both chihuhuas and poms are major barkers.

– They don’t need much exercise, they definitely need to be walked, but not much.

– They are so extremely lovable and sweet

– They are extremely funny and will keep you laughing

CONS:

– They have a short life span

– They have a lot of medical conditions

🙂

I highly recommend a rat terrior, we have two of them and they are the sweetest dogs I have ever known and really easy to train.  One of my girls is curled up next to my feet on the couch and the other is sitting on my lap wanting hugs right now.

Our youngest as a pup, about 12 weeks old

And my favorite pic of them sleeping on the couch

Awwww!!! puppies are the best!!! I grew up with German Shepherds and they were awesome, but I don’t know how big of a dog you want.

I have to chime in on the “GET A BULLDOG” comment.  They are expensive but they are the funniest dogs ever.  We live in an apartment right now and its pefect for this breed of dog.  I’ll leave you with some pictures of mine when she was a baby.

THANK YOU FOR THINKING ADOPTING!!!! Makes me so HAPPY to hear! BEST OF LUCK!!!!! We have three rescues ourselves and we foster dogs for a local rescue group as well. Rescue dogs are grateful dogs! You wont regret it! ; )
