Hmmm, I don’t know what that is but I did used to get awful poison ivy all the time… Best thing for the itching was always creams with menthol in them to cool it down — ivarest soap and cream were best. I wonder if something like that would help?? Hell, maybe even noxzema? Hope it gets better for you!!

I’ve heard that oatmeal baths help, similar to like how people take with chicken pox.

I had this when I was pregnant with my 2nd son, he’s 12 now. Nothing I did over the counter worked, benadryl barely made me able to sleep at night. The doctor prescribed me Zonalon cream, and it was amazing. It was the only thing that worked, and I was miserable. It made me really tired though- you wouldn’t think a cream could do that, but it did. I just looked it up and it’s a Pregnancy category B drug, which means it should only be used if the benefits outweigh the risks because there aren’t any studies done on pregnant women using this medication. The doctor who prescribed it to me when I had this was actually from Canada, and wasn’t my regular doctor, so I don’t know if your doctor would prescribe it or not. Thankfully, the rash didn’t last until delivery for me, it got better after a couple of weeks. But I lived on benadryl and this cream during that time. I’m sorry that you are going through this, it was a rough thing to deal with. Sorry I don’t have any better advice, the only good thing is that it does eventually go away- it’s hard to tell just when that will be though. I hope you don’t have to put up with it for long!

This site has heaps of remedies on it, and reviews of how well they worked:

Maybe you can find something helpful there Smile  The cream I was given is mentioned at the bottom by someone in New Zealand who used it- it’s not commonly prescribed here apparently.  Anyway, there are lots of things for you to try in the meantime if you like. Good luck!

@Mrs.D: I was attacked by sand fleas while in vacation and had a bad reaction. On the itching! It’s still not completely gone. I was on meds- 2 scripts, 2 OTC, but had to stop everything wheni found out I was preg. Now it’s just oatmeal baths and cold compresses. I tried every single remedy. I’m not sure the baths even help. The only cream that seemed to help at all was gold bond- bc of the menthol. Itching is the worst!
