So today we are going puppy hunting! I know nobody will believe this, but I have been pestering my SO about getting a kitten since we started dating. We already coparent my kitty but I think she wants a sister or brother. So! Post pics of your puppy or your favorite puppy type. I love beagles and german shepards (but SO wants smaller.

Awwww, so cute. I’ve heard that beagles are hard to train- they have a mind of their own. I have a German Shepherd and they have such a beautiful temperament.
What size are you looking at. If you want a small dog with a big personality, look no further than a Jack Russell

These are my babies! The girl is a beagle/min pin and the boy is a pomeranian/chihuahua. He’s 2 in this picture but she was about 7 months I think… I’ve lost track of her birthday in this past year, lol

This is our puppy named Labatt. We were told by the shelter he is a Bullmastiff mix. The vet guessed he would be 70lbs fully grown but I don’t think he will be that big since he was only 17lbs at 15 weeks.

@Kari 2012: I have a German Shepard and supposedly Basenji Mix. She was that size at 15 weeks. She’s now 6 years old and 76 lbs. Whatever your dog weighs at 6 months, generally you can double that and that’s what they will weigh!

@subtlebee: What about a Corgi? I do love Beagles…so cute! Get a female… less marking issues and they run about 5-10lbs smaller.

I love golden retreivers. Simply put, they are the sweetest and easiest to train dogs ever. They live for pleasing their masters.

@Kari 2012: @deetroitwhat: I find that mixes are always a pleasant surprise, haha. We rescued ours at 6 or 7 weeks, and the vet told us that he would be 70 lbs full grown. We started to believe it because at 6 months he was 35 lbs… well, now he’s 9 months and over 80 lbs. I’m not sure what happened! He’s supposedly a Bernese Mountain Dog (which I can def. see in him) and an American Bulldog (which I don’t see at all) so we sent away for a DNA test to find out 🙂
