@MrsNeutrino: Well, how long has this been since she last replied to you? Was she a good responder prior to invoicing? You said you have contacted her twice.  If she hasn’t ship it within a week of your payment, I suggest you contact paypal and open a case. There’s some guidelines within paypal for that. Contact them for more info. I know it’s nervewrecking but maybe she has a good reason; sick, out of town? Good Luck!

@MrsNeutrino: “She still has not responded to my email but she responded to paypal right away! “

Shady! I wish there was some way to keep track of things like this here on the Bee, so other members don’t get their money taken too. I hope you get your money back!

good for you, that should get her attention. It does sound shady. UPS will never deny the package because it’s too big. My fiance ships out car tires all the time. It goes by weight. I hope she packed them in good condition too. I also suggest, you quickly open the package to see any damage infront of the UPS guy; in case if the lampshades comes damaged so that you can file a claim with UPS. They’re very strict with that; espcially if the seller doesn’t pack it good.

One time, UPS denied my fiance’s insurance claim with shipping car lights because he didn’t used enough bubble wrap? They needed to be a few inches thick according to their guidline? So be very careful with that. If the box looks beat up, don’t accept that at all and return to sender; chances are it’ll be damaged. Better safe than sorry. If it does happens, you can at least file a claim with paypal; hopefully she’ll have enough funds in her account for you so that paypal can deduct it. =)

UPS is very good with their tracking. Once the UPS guy scans the box and bring it to his truck, you will see an update using the tracking number provided for you; and the transit to warehouse…etc.

Let me know how it went….I hope you get your lambshades in a few days =)

@MrsNeutrino:  That sucks it turned out that way!  Hopefully you will be able to get your money back!  I love how you can find such great and affordable items online but it can be so sketchy sometimes.

@MrsNeutrino: Take pics for proof before you send it back (for UPS claim) to her. Try to communicate with the seller and make her pay shipping. Otherwise, you might lose out on shipping charges if she refuse your package. She can claim that you damaged it. Ask her how she wants to proceed before you do anything. Please please please, do all your communication via paypal dispute section. That prove that you tried to work out a solution with a seller; hence making her look bad. It’s her fault that she did not packed it appropriately.

I think you have to contact UPS for a claim; unless it’s really expensive, they won’t come to your house to take a look at it. Usually, they deny the claim anyway b/c “seller” didn’t pack it within their guideline. Not to worry, you should be protected under paypal and get your money back. Make sure you submit the pics to paypal under dispute claim. Paypal will force her to refund you; but it takes a while.

Sorry it didn’t work out!
