Ok…so I’m a big fan of purple, and my fiance looooves his baseball. I’m struggling with a theme for my wedding, but I want to combine my taste in purple with his baseball passion.
I know that I also want to make the wedding personalized to the defining things about us: I am a speech-therapist in training, he is a businessman, I love theatre, he loves sports in general, I come from Spanish heritage and he is from Kentucky, etc., etc.
Do you fellow Bees have any ideas on how I can make a theme around purple and baseball, but also include unique elements of us? I am struggling so much to be creative and I think I just need a jump start to get things going. I have been so stuck on this part and I really need to get the ball rolling so I can move on in my wedding planning. Any help would be much appreciated!! 🙂

Use purple, ivory and red (ivory and red being colors of an antique baseball) as your colors. Use baseballs as the table numbers (and use a flexible stencil to paint the numbers on in silver or gold). You could have old baseball photos or books as part of the design theme- think the guest book, where people sign next to or on a photo. The theme couls be We Hit a Homerun. And for the engagement photos (if you havent done them yet) make a special hat or jersey with your lastname and number in purple. I would say start there- and once you have solid grounding, then start adding in the other aspects of yourself. But the people you invite know you and wont need so many personal details- you could incorporate them still by putting them on your website or making baseball cards with facts on them (coasters for the night?) and scattering them around. If you take the antique baseball part of it, I think you could make it very elegant and unique.
