Yes, purple can be rustic!  Lavenders and greens go beautifully with wood colors and silvers/peweters.  I think it’d be beautiful!  Here are some inspiration pictures.

Another purple and green bride here! I agree that you should follow Ms. Poodle, she is doing purple and green AND she’s including rustic touches. I agree with everyone to stay with more muted tones rather than jewel tones for the rustic look, though my color scheme is more modern while our venue / atmosphere is more rustic. I think it will be a pretty juxtaposition, so don’t feel like you have to commit 100% to a style – you can bring in aspects of lots of different styles!

I’m using purple and green, too.  And lavender everywhere!  I love the scent and I want it to remind me of our wedding for years to come.  🙂

to make it rustic, have a lot of wood…like sticks in your centerpieces and bouquets.  Also, fruits and veggies keep a nice rustic feel, so make sure there are grapevines!  what does your venue look like?  no chance it’s a vineyard or barn, is there?

It can be rustic! I would suggest using deep plum or dusty purple and more of a sage green than chartruese (spelling??). Also brown and cream accents will help bring in a more rustic feeling. They have some really good green/purple/rustic insperation boards that I found on project wedding.

I am another purple/green bride here!  I am having a vineyard wedding, which I think will have a rustic vintagey feel to it (if that makes any sense).

@semanthia  that’s actually an inspiration board I made a while back 🙂

here is another one I recently came up with after deciding to incorporate gold into the mix
