How do you look in photos while wearing purple eye shadow? Try out your desired shade, and take some test photos in varying lights to try it out. Also, make sure to try it out for an entire day so you can get a feel for how it stays (or doesn’t stay).

I think more important than the color is the quality and staying power of the product itself. Some people might experience a "bruised" look because of purple flecks migrating downward throughout the day, but if your eyeshadow won’t stay on, then you’ve got bigger problems than just whether it’s purple or not. If it’s a flattering shade to you and you’ve got a quality product that stays put all day, then go for it!

I did!! I was sooooo not thinking purple. I never wear it (I barely ever wear makeup anyway) but when my aunt decided she would do my makeup I was thrilled. She told me purple, and I was like NO WAY. after she tried it on me… I was hooked. For the wedding, she did purple with a hint of pink and it looked great. I have an olive complexion but am not very tan on my face so it worked out great. It was such an elegant look.

Give it a try first, but I think you’ll love it! 🙂

I think that purple is ABSOLUTELY gorgeous and appropriate for a wedding, especially since that’s the day when you want to look your absolute drop dead best.  If purple is flattering on you, and it sounds like from the description of your coloring that it is, then there are no rules!    Just make sure you get a good brand.  MAC is the absolute best eyeshadow in my experience.
