Hello fellow Bee’s! Help me out here. I just got 2 pair of shoes which are causing me angst. I can’t decide!!!
I am getting married at a place in Philadelphia called TRUST (gorgeous old bank with a very upscale posh feel). The look is black tie – so it will be fancy. I am attachng my dress, as well as the 2 shoe options. I have searched for months, tried on over 50 pair of shoes, and finally locked on to these two. Both are comfy, and both are high (over 4″ heels). The slingback is more comfortable and slightly more secure since it wraps around my foot completely. The gems on the white one make me swoon, but I worry they will catch the inside of my dress as it is bubbled. Plus you reall can’t see them unless I hike the dress way up, whereas the purple will peek out occasionally. The purple ones are 1/2 the price of the white ones, and if I return them there are no more. I bought the last pair. =]
I will be wearing a Winnie Couture Kamilia gown in pearl white (not the cream shown in the image) so either pair will work colorwise. Please let me know your ideas. I don’t know if I can keep both… though I sort of want to. (bad girl!!)

i know how you feel about being caught up in shoe shopping, I just got 4 pairs in from zappos today! if I were you, I’d definitely go with the white ones. I think they’d go well with your dress and the purple tulle is a bit too disconnected from the dress to me (though you can totally keep them and wear them to something else!)

I love the purple ones! Who made them?

I have the purple shoes…I got them from DSW. They are actually pretty comfy esp since there is a bit of a hidden platform in them. I got them last year and wore them to match a purple dress I wore to another friends wedding. I got a lot of compliments on them. I really love both…I wish you could keep both.

I am a total fan of wearing fun colored shoes with a wedding dress, but I think with the way you describe your venue and your dress the white shoes would be the best choice. I think the bling makes the shoes fun but keeps with the elegant black tie feel of your venue and wedding.

I LOVEEEEEEEEEEE bright shoes under a white dress, but I agree with @boopers……I think the white go better with your venue / dress!

I LOVE both of them, but I really like to see colorful shoes! Plus, money talks.
And side comment, I don’t think I’ve ever seen a model in a more awkward position….

@Miss Fish:OMG you are hillarious! I agree – she looks kinda pisse about it right?!
The purple ones are Martinez Valero Carolina an I am pretty sure they can be ordered and dyed too, but at a much higher price – I paid about $85 for those and $160 for the Ivanka Trump Crystal ones.
I showed my honey both shoes in person and he originally hated the purple ones (dislikes the tulle) but after the trial run he thinks the Ivanka Trump ones are in his words “a bit austentatious” Though in their defense – if I had the dress shortened a tad in the front, they scream “bling” like wow, and I felt hot and sexy wearing them. I wonder if I can buy a rehearsal dinner dress to showcase the purple ones???
I have for the time being decided to keep BOTH, I can return them anytime in the next year (got to love Zappos!). I will keep the purple no matter what, because they are just too cool for words. and super comfy. But we shall see, perhaps another white pair will rear it’s pretty little toe and I will be saved! =] Thanks!!!
