Hi Bees!! I keep going back and forth and back and forth, it changes based on my mood EVERY DAY. So I was hoping you ladies would help me decide if we should use purples or blues for our color.
More specifics – I want soft, classic and simple. My dress is ivory with an ivory/antique bodice (Sorry I have no pictures to share yet)…we already decided we want overall ivory/champagne/antique as our secondary color.
If purple, I’m thinking dusty purple/thistle with some varying shades (maybe stick some bolder purple in here or there if it fits:

If blue- slate blues, still dusty. Focus on the dress color and against the white flowers (I already decided I’m super in love with the bouquet here!):

I am not going to be much help! I really like BOTH!

Haha, I appreciate your comment. That’s exactly where I’m having trouble 😉 I guess LindsEys think alike!

I like slate blue but my favorite color is purple… but I voted slate blue.

I like the purple, it feels a bit warmer and more inviting than the blue.

I had a winter wedding and used cornflower blue and silver. I love the slate! It’s so wintery.

I vote purple. Both are pretty but I feel like purple is more unique for a winter wedding.

I voted other because I like the idea of doing BOTH! 🙂 I’m having 2 main colors–blue and light green for my spring wedding, with accents of of ivory and silver.

Sorry, I like both, too! Could you incorporate both colors? They look great together.

I think both are beautiful and agree with PPs that you can possibly incorporate both.

Hmm… thank you for the suggestion of using both!! The poll is straight up tied right now and so I’m thinking I’m not crazy for being so indecisive. I considered doing both back when I first started thinking about them, but I had less of the “dusty/slate” idea and more of the “icy blue/light purple” in mind and so it looked almost cheesy in my head. But with the right tones I agree, I think they would look great together! Plus with the white/ivory flowers and such, to have both main colors would be helpful in not making it too boring. I’m excited, thank you girls!
It’s such a boost to see you ladies liking my choices, thank you!!
I want to see if any more voters pop in and tip the poll at all through the day…

@Candicemh7 – that dress you’re using for your Bridesmaid or Best Man is so similar to the blue pictured dress, I love it! And I can tell we have really similar tastes, that’s the purple I’m envisioning!!! Are you using an accent color at all? I’d love to hear more about your color ideas 🙂

I think both would look amazing, so I voted blue only because I’ve always liked blue better than purple. I secretly actually like the purple a teeeeeeny bit better. 🙂
