I’m doing a groom’s cake, but having it served at the rehersal dinner the night before the wedding. No need for another cake at the wedding and that way they’re not “competing” with each other. It’s going to be a surprise for my Fiance – it’s a banana cake (his favorite flavor) with peanut butter buttercream filling and then covered in fondant in the shape of a car tire (he’s a car guy). Definitely a man’s cake!

I live in the north and had a grooms cake. Just for fun!! It was a two tier stacked cake (so, smaller) and it featured all my husband’s favorite things made out of fondant. Hobbies, sports, etc. It was very cool! Made for great pics. He loved it.

We had the catering staff cut and serve it with the rest of the cake. Our cake was delicious and not one slice went to waste so I was glad I had the extra pieces, too!
