So I’m getting married at the end of April. Less than 6 months left but I hadn’t even tried on a dress until two weeks ago at DB. (We had a bad experience there with my bridesmaids but that’s beside the point.) I am a size 16/18 and have been terrified of dress shopping because of that. Bridal notoriously runs small so like many of us I was nervous. It was the obe aspect if planning that terrified me. Since I was running out if time I decided I’d better suck it up and put my big girl pants on and find a dress. So yesterday my mom, sister, Future Mother-In-Law, and finances grandma went dress shopping to a non chain store not too far from everyone.
The experience was absolutely wonderful! The dresses were all amazing and there were so many to choose from! The people were fabulous and I really could not have asked for better! The staff really understood that women come in all shapes and sizes and pulled dresses for me that I would never have thought to try on. I finally found my dress a beautiful alfred angelo!
I feel beautiful in it and I want all you girls struggling with going dress shopping that it will be okay and you will find a beautiful dress for to capture your beautiful personality!
I got this in all ivory but considered it with the pink. I love it!

That’s super pretty! No offense, but it’s kind of hard to believe it came from David’s. It looks like it cost about $4,000!

@MrsKady: Wow. Reading comprehension fail! I thought it didn’t look like any of the ones I’d seen there (though I did try on one with a similar cut.)
