If they don’t go with the original flower colors you have picked out them its probably you take the chair sashes/cover offer. Especially if your not adding too much decor it might really transform the venue. I just think that the chairs without the covers are not pretty and very dull

I looked up rental companies and it looks like I could get chiavari chairs with delivery for $500 or I could rent cute white chairs for about $250 plus delivery. I think I’ll look into this. My grandma actually thinks chair covers are cute so I bet she wouldn’t like chiavari chairs either and I’d have to pay myself, but maybe it’s worth it so things will match.
This is exactly how I felt! If I were a guest and I walked in on chairs in dresses I would definitely remember that (and think it looked awkward), but I don’t think I’d ever notice ugly banquet chairs. Plus my guests have no idea chair covers are even an option so I bet I’ll be the only one who even thinks twice about it.
My best friend brought up photos. I’m not sure how many photographs will be taken in the reception area, but the chairs for Fiance and myself are nice (not banquet chairs) and as Fiance pointed out most of the photos will probably be of us or around our chairs/tables. I doubt we’d even have many photos of the ugly uncovered chairs. Also, I worry about looking back on my photos and thinking, “what an unnecessary waste of $500,” too. I don’t want to look back on my wedding day and feel like I was a fool about wasting money.

@gettin_marrid: Your chairs are fine as is. Burgundy and pink are even in the same color family.
Chair covers and sashes are most often a complete waste of money. I mean really, for what other social occasion does anyone slap a cover or tie a sash on a chair? Even when a formal banquet is held in the same venue, no one would ever think it is necessary to cover or decorate the chairs.
Chiavari chairs may be elegant but they are not as comfortable as normal banquet chairs.
If you are concerned about pics, you can always have your photographer pull the chairs from one table when he takes a pic of the table . I personally don’t think it’s necessary as your chair color will work fine with your pink centerpieces.

Without. Chair covers and coordinating ribbons look so 80’s and silly to me. Everyone and everything gets a bfancified” make over. Grr. Overkill.
