Since I was fired from my job 2 weeks ago, my plan of TTC shortly after we get married has gone right out the window. I was charting and takign prenatals already. I was so depressed after that happened that I couldn’t get up at the same time as i was before to take my temps.
Now that I have a few job interviews lined up, things are looking more promising. Sadly, even if I were to be hired at a full time job with a good salary and benefits in the next month, I’d still have to put off TTC until August or September.
I’m so disappointed – this is all I’ve wanted for so long. Any tips on what I can do to stay on track and prepare for the TTC while I wait for 6 more months?

I’m so sorry. That delay must be heartbreaking, but at least you’re moving ahead in the right ways. (Good luck with the interviews.)
Maybe continue with the prenatals and get your body as TTC-ready as you possibly can. It might help you conceive faster when the time comes?

I think just keep on doing what you are doing! It’s disappointing but it will happen – so just focus on that!

@Macintosh: I’m sorry you have to put off TTC for a bit longer. I did notice you’re getting married in April (yay for April! April will be my one-year anniversary)…since you know you’re going to hold off on TTC, maybe just really focus on making your first few months of marriage all about the two of you and do things that’ll be harder to do once you’re pregnant and, then, with a baby. Just try to make your first few months a lot of fun and romantic.
In addition, experiment with new, healthy, recipes and just focus on continuing to prepare your body for pregnancy. I know 6 months sounds like forever when you have to put off something you want so badly, but the time will go by quickly. I’m not trying to minimize your disappointment, but with being a newlywed and a new job and all of the exciting things coming up in the next 6 months, it’ll be late summer/early fall before you know it. Hang in there!
