Since you said you definitely want to mail the Save-The-Date Cards, I would include them with the invitation. But, it is weird. Can’t you just scrap the Save-The-Date Cards and maybe have a large poster of the photo collage that he made at your shower or at the wedding?

Don’t send the Save-The-Date Cards. The whole purpose of them is to give guests a heads up of when the wedding is. If you pair them with the invitations, it’s redundant and will definitely make people go, “huh?”

I would not send them at all. They should have been sent a year ago.

@Weetzie: +1 Dont send them!

I wouldn’t send the save-the-dates. What’s the point? I know it’s a waste of money not to, but it’s kind of nonsensical.

There’s no poll result for “don’t bother sending the STD’s, there’s no point”

Same with everyone else – don’t bother with the Save-The-Date Cards, people will be confused. If you send them separately, people will assume that’s the invitation and I promise you they will just start RSVPing (flooding you with calls, emails) because they’ll assume that’s what they need to do. So DEFINITELY throw that option out the window. If you have to, put it with the invite if you don’t want the Save-The-Date Cards to go to waste.

Thanks everyone. I mailed the save-the-dates this morning and will mail the invitations next week. They do say “formal invitation to follow” on them, so people might be confused, but oh well.
