Is this considered okay? It’s a formal invitation… I don’t want it to be offensive or rude or whatever… lol
Like for food I wanted to put more details instead of just “filet” and “chicken” but we haven’t decided 😉 haha. Plus we could have random registry info on there or just more info like about it being formal or whatever… so is the site on the RSVP okay or no?

How formal is your wedding? As long as it’s not black tie I think it’s fine to include the website. We did it!

@AlwaysSunny: It’s in the evening and pretty formal but also pretty unique, but not black tie required or anything. Anyone in less than a suit would probably feel awkward though… women should ideally wear dresses but the length doesn’t really matter. Cocktail? haha. I don’t know these things… XD

@AlwaysSunny: we ARE using “honour” and “favour” though… so the u’s came in. haha ^_^

Assuming the guests will be sending the RSVPs back to you, I would put it on the invite itself.

Well, what I did is that I felt weird putting registry info or the URL to our wedding website on either the invitation or the RSVP card. I ended up buying a pack of nice ivory business cards with an embossed edge that I printed the places we are registered and “For more informaton, visit our website” kinda thing. I thought adding it as an insert helped me keep the other two items looking as formal as I wanted them to look. Also it was pretty cheap! 🙂

I don’t think I would add it to the formal invite itself.. I;ve only ever seen the website on STD cards.. I would do what aranel1002 did and add an insert to the invite rather than print it on the RSVP — plus putting it on the card they’re mailing back to you defeats the purpose.. they may forget or want to look at the website later but they won’t have the card anymore.

+1 to @bbsoon2be: “plus putting it on the card they’re mailing back to you defeats the purpose.. they may forget or want to look at the website later but they won’t have the card anymore.”
I wanted to add our wedsite URL but didn’t want to print it on the invitation itself, so I just attached a small tag.

- Wedding: January 2013 - Harbourfront Grand Hall
I put ours on the accomodation card, I wanted people to have it because there’s LOTS more info on the website than can fit on the invitation!

I have ours on the inserts for lodging and directions.

We put ours on our reception card.
