Yes, your right that outline was good, and it was interesting because one of my bridesmaids went with me this morning to my fitting and she said the same thing…you don’t want it to look exactly how you look everyday, but you don’t want it out of character either.
The salon owner was rooting for a half up half down do. I had my headband on with my hair down as usualand I wasn’t loving it completely thats how I always wear my hair, BUT….I really would love to do something with braids between the layers of my headband (they look best slightly seperated)…
So I think I’m going to take her a half up do and the updo I posted above and have her show me both. Worse case scenario I don’t like either and wear it down like I do daily 🙂 Thanks everyone for your help <3

I had absolutely no idea, so I looked at a few inspiration pics and then discussed it with the hairstylist. I was thinking half up, half down but she pointed out that because my dress has straps and I have long hair, the neckline area could look a bit ‘busy’ with hair, straps, a necklace and a veil and she advised a low updo.
The other thing that clinched it for me is that I can do half up, half down myself – it won’t look as good as professional styling but I could do it. Whereas a curled updo is something I could NEVER achieve by myself, so I’m not likely to ever have one again!

This was a tough thing for me as well. I do ALOT with my hair and like it multiple ways. So I took weather and my covered back into consideration. Since wind and snow was going to be a factor I had a loose updo to keep it in place and give it the staying power to last all day. I also didn’t want to cover up the back of my dress with my hair so having it pulled up made the most sense. I felt I still looked like me (as I wear it pulled back alot) just polished.

I chose curly & down, with sidesweapt bangs.
I’ve always had those off to the side type bangs, and I feel I have a large forhead to try to do anything else with them. I’m not one for wearing my hair up, either. Curls look natural on me.

I always say to my brides you want to look like a special version of your self on the day. you dont want something so different your un recognisable or that you feel uncomfortable. i also say un less you have a stunning profile clear skin and perfect oval face, then dont wear your hair scraped back in a bun. it looks harsh in pics but the odd few carry it off amazing. I chose my hair by looking back in photos and seeing how i like my hair in ther pictures. i decided all down big waves, i didnt want anything too structured being on a beach. taking the dress sytle theme and venue in to consideration is always important.xxx
