Well, you’ve seen this of me, but i’ll share it again just for the sake of the thread.  Mine was more of an A-line since i’m um…not exactly itty bitty like a good taiwanese girl… 😛 Made by the designer Londee in Taiwan!

@Helloemi:  Do it!!!!  There’s a whole thread about this topic on the East Asian boards.

My Fiance is Chinese, and I am not.  FI’s family is hosting a traditional banquet the night before our wedding, and Future Mother-In-Law asked me to wear a cheongsam.  At first, I was a little uncomfortable, but now I am super excited about wearing it!  This is what I chose:

Mine was a super cheap one ordered from some random website. I had it altered by a local tailor since it was too loose.

I’m looking at those online stores too.  I think that I might go with efushop.com.  From what I can tell, people have had very good experiences with it.  There’s also http://www.goodorient.com/ — There’s also a super-expensive site called http://qipaobyjane.com/

–> I bought a qi-pao out of desperation from a store in the Chinatown in Flushing, Queens (NYC).  I have to pick it up this weekend and will post a pic then.  I have *serious* dress regret so I might order one online and get it tailored.

–>helloemi –> Do it!!  I think that it would be nice!!

@bumblingbumblebee:  I’m sorry you’re having dress regret.  Your qipao sounds beautiful!  I’d love to see a pic.

I bought mine from efushop.com.  It was really reasonably priced, and the quality is good.  It came in about a month, but I got to pick everything… the fabric, style, and buttons.  I sent them my measurements, and it’s a perfect fit!
