I’m doing it! You can read about it in my post here and here. There are some really beautiful vendors out there for Quaker marriage certificates, but the are veeeery expensive. So I made mine myself and printed it as a poster through Zazzle.

I think they’re such an awesome alternative to a guestbook! I’m so glad another bride is doing the same thing! 🙂

I am doing the same thing, but I purchased a ketubah from a Judaica vendor that does a lot of business with the Sisterhood at my mother’s synagogue.  I purchased the ketubah with the printing (Hebrew and English, but you can get English only) and a blank one.  I will be framing the two side by side in a single mat.  It’s a way of blending my two heritages and since my FH is in seminary, he can also read it.  If you are interested in a ketubah rather than a Quaker marriage certificate, I can send you a couple links I considered, but they are a bit pricey.

Ooh, meggles, please let us know how that goes!  I’m planning on going with the Quaker wedding certificate too.  I’m also going to look into getting one printed, but I’d love to get it hand done.

We’re undecided but we’ve certinaly thought about it.  I can’t wait to see how everyone’s turns out.

We’ve been working with Shell over at Ketubah Tree and absolutely love her and her work.  I’m not entirely sure that she does the certificates as a standard, but she is more than happy to customize as needed. Their website is http://www.weddingartistree.com/.

My mom actuallly made our certificate — totally jumped off from Miss PP (thank you oh so very  much!)  I’ll try to get some pictures and if anyone likes I’ll see if she has the step by step for how she did it!
