I’d say they’re about the same. Most of the fabrics used in both are synthetic as opposed to silk organza etc. The structure is better in Maggie’s due to the corset, but I’ve seen prettier lace dresses from Casablanca. My dress for my first wedding ten years ago was a Maggie and I loved it, but this time around I was disappointed that the quality had declined overall. They don’t look as good in person as they do on their photoshopped ads. They do usually make the body look fantastic though.

I can’t speak for the Maggie. My dress is Casablanca and the quality is VERY good. The beading on the dress is very detailed and looks very expensive. I can speak on behalf of the good quality in a Casablanca.

I purchased the Maggie Milana and am really happy with my dress. I think that when you start trying them on, you’ll get a better feel for the differences between styles and designers.

I purchased Maggie Sottero’s Sabelle and I think the quality is amazing!  All of her dresses stood out to me both in quality and beauty over the rest.

I purchased a Maggie dress cause I fell in love with the style, but my 2nd choice was a Casablanca.  They are both beautiful dresses and the bead work on Casablanca is just beautiful.  But they are both well constructed yet affordable dresses.  I have tried on many of both and didn’t find any quality issues with either.  What it comes down to is, which style of dress and what designer do you like most?

I wore a maggie in taffet and my friend had a casablanca taffeta. they were pretty much the same, construction-wise. Her shoulder strap and bustle broke, but her dress was much heavier than mine.

i’m pretty sure both dresses, for the most part, are quite mass produced. My friend had to buy her casablanca in a specific sze, then have the seamstress change it. It was definitely not cut to her size.

I just recently ordered my maggie last week and I am so in love. There is no doubt that her dresses flatter the female shape tremendously…which is a big deal to most brides, who wouldn’t want to make the most of their shape on your big day!?

The dress you end up with needs to make you feel like beautiful and comfortable. I honestly had a budget that was much more than the cost of my maggie dress, but I kept coming back to it everytime, because I felt amazing in it and was very flattering…I’m a size 6 but I looked like a 2 in the maggies because of the corset!

So take your time, try on a bunch of dresses, various designers and go to a few different bridal shops…you’re bound to find something you love.Laughing

I tried on both Maggies and Casablancas.  They seemed comparable in quality. In the end, the Casablanca really seemed to work better with my body shape than any of the Maggies did.

I know a lot of people like the corset back ties, which I have to agree are wonderful, but since I’m having a destination wedding with just the two of us, the zipper back will work better for me getting dressed by myself.
