@LemonJack:  What kind of thread count are you looking for?  AKA what’s your definition of high quality?

And how long are you expecting a set of sheets to last?  They don’t last forever; I’d say “a few years” before your last ones started wearing through is a very good run.

@MsJ2theZ:  +1

We got some 600 TC sheets from Costco and are liking them.  However, the elastic broke on the fitted sheet of the first set we bought after washing a few times.  Luckily, Costco has an amazing return policy.  The ones we exchanged for have been working out fine since.

@LemonJack:  I suggest checking out winners/homesense (or the US equivilent TJMaxx/Marshalls/Home…something).  I always get our sheets there and they’re awesome.

I buy percale sheets from Linen Source.  They’re really soft and I love them, I had a set for years before they crapped out on me.  I just bought an entire queen sheet set for $60 (including shipping!) last night.  I had to go with solid white ones because the selection is usually limited

Costco, or try Home Goods, Marshalls.

I bought these amazing sheets from Home Goods, Queen 800 thread count that came with 4 pillows for $49.99. they would have cost at least $200 in the store plus an extra pillow set.

Many times I think the thread count is too high, I like my 200 better.

DH and I LOVE knit sheets. Softer and cheaper than cotton! And easier to put on the bed. The ones we got from Marshall’s were like $20!

They do wear out faster, though.

I have had really good luck at Kohls.  Soft, long lasting – and when I get a 30% off coupon they are really affordable.

@LemonJack:  i think you responded to the wrong person.  i don’t use jersey knit.  way too hot for me and DH is like sleeping with a heater.

but if someone mentioned knit sheets, they probably mean jersey knit.
