This weekend, we will be having charcuterie for dinner while  having a rousing Uno tournament. I’m actually pretty excited!

I’m in a new relationship and just started week 6 of quarantine with him so I hear ya! Here’s how we’ve survived, mind you we do our own thing until 4 pm. He works from home and I was a full time student until yesterday (also a health care worker so there are days I’m not home).

1) Zoom chats with friends (mix it up with a virtual board game)

2) double dates with other couples (Zoom)

3) video games (neither of us really played before but we just finished Unravel 2 which is a cute, wholesome looking strategy game)

4) A lot of puzzles

5) Netflix is a given

6) We cook a LOT. Baked a cake the other day

7) I’ve been doing a lot of workouts which I’m trying to convince him to join in on, given we were so active together pre-quarantine (outdoor things like climbing, hiking, skiing). He’s not a gym guy but maybe yours is!

8) Board games in general

9) He’s now working on building a woodworking project which I’m just helping him research, random, but “crafting” could be a summary of this concept

We actually busted out some yard games. Bocce Ball and croquet and washers! We also eat some dinners outside with a fire for a different pace! Taking a walk every day and working on stuff around the house has helped mix it up a bit as well.

I cooked a theme dinner tonight…a British pub night. We had fish and chips. No peas available at the store so we made do with broccoli. I forgot to chill some Guinness though. We had an Italian night last week.
We have a puzzle to do. DH has been teaching me to play his video games. We have a happy hour zoom chat with friends every Saturday. We FaceTime with family. We’ve rented this years Oscar movies from Amazon or on demand. We’ve tried some news things in the bedroom. No privacy worries as we’re CFBC. I’m tempted to order a cool new Lego set to do as we’ve watched LEGO Masters.

So totally out there, but I’m came across these dance lessons with a company called Show Her Off Dance. We both are amature two steppers, so I figured this would be totally fun to do!! I ordered it today as a 2 year wedding anniversary gift in 2 weeks. I figured it would be a good time to spend during this current world situation!

We got Disney+ an exciting change from Netflix.

Honestly though it’s kind of hard to do anything together when you have two children and one is a two month old. We watch TV together as a family and then we go to bed because husband has to wake up early for work.

jessjoey2020 :  We’ve been playing games, mostly scrabble, and I read a lot but sometimes he’ll cuddle up on the couch with me with a book, which is nice. Getting outside with our dog for walks or playtime in the yard is a refreshing break from staring at our computer screens. Aside from that, our usual activities include our favorite shows, homemade pizza and wine/beer nights, and finding new movies to watch on the weekends on Prime Video.

We have camped in the living room, had a home Halloween party, done puzzles, and the standard bingeing of Netflix.

jessjoey2020 :  My husband bought this game for our date night. It actually was fun! We went through nearly half the deck bc we were really enjoying the variety of questions. It prompted new conversations, new angles, and revisiting some things. Very fun!

We’ve been cooking together, going for walks on our lunch breaks, playing video games together, and watching Netflix together. It’s been a good time to catch up on movies we wanted to watch but missed at the theaters.
