I’d like to have a very simple, low-key wedding sometime between April and June of this year. We’re inviting family and a few close friends, and the guest list will number somewhere around 55 people.
We originally planned to go to City Hall and have dinner afterward (and are still open to that idea, if you have any suggestions), but brunch is looking like it might be more our style.
Do you have any suggestions for a sunny, cute/quaint restaurant in Queens or Brooklyn that can fit 50-60 people for a quick, simple ceremony and a brunch reception? Our budget is very low, and the highest we can swing is about $60 per person.
So far we’ve found Scottadito, although we don’t know how many their back room can fit.

@sitaw: I don’t know if this is what you are looking for, but Bohemian Hall Beer Garden does wedding ceremonies and receptions. You could also get in touch with Il Bambino and Butcher Bar in Astoria where they may have enough room. I have had good brunches at Riverview in Long Island City but I’m not sure if they do big events.

Thank you so much for the suggestions! I’ve added these to the list and will try to check them out in person.
Any other suggestions, anyone?

Colandrea’s New Corner in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn! It’s a classic italian restaurant that’s never a disappointment I threw my fiance a surprise 30th for $35/pp…very reasonable and quaint, food is amazing!
