Depends on how long I had been waiting and how long I thought it would take him to save up.  But it probably would annoy me.

Honestly, yes. I would be annoyed. I probably wouldn’t say anything but I would definitely wonder what he was thinking!

ugh, I’ve been in this situation before. I’ve learned to TRY and lay low about it. I want him to do it when he’s ready, and if you’re waiting, he’s also waiting. Nonetheless, it still bugs me when he spends money that he should be saving…So yes, I still get mad/annoyed, but I try not to let it get to me.

Sometimes it does, but the TWO guitars and mandolin he bought in the past few months he got at really good prices.  I”m getting better at it now, he has a lot more money saved up than I do and I know he didn’t blow everything he has on these things, plus they help him relax after a hard day of class/teaching on campus.  I actually encouraged him to buy the last one because it was such a good deal for the quality….even though I was still annoyed.

Yes, unless it was necessary like car repairs or something.

I would be mad if the reason why he wasn’t asking right away was because he wanted to save money for the future and/or to buy a ring…if that was the reason and he clearly wasn’t holding up his part of the bargain, it would bother me for sure!

This happened with my ex, he said he was buying me a ring (nothing expensive,a few hundred dollars)(he had already propose many months ago, just no ring) and then he would complain that he has no money and that’s why he won’t get it. But I would see him spend $100+ a month on dvds and cds, month after month, and eventually I got annoyed! When I finally mentioned it he got mad and said he needs all his money for lunch at school (he lives with his mom, she feeds and clothes him) …it was a mess, longer story but I won’t go into it.

Yes! Immediately after putting my e-ring on deposit he bought a brand new bike for himself which he is also paying off.

He already had a bike, and the new one is about double the price of my e-ring. I never told him that as it is his money and I know I will get my e-ring, but still – doesn’t help me get it any quicker :/
