The vagina is pretty durable and will likely clean itself out. I’d keep an eye on it, though, and if any symptoms crop up, I’d ship myself to the nearest doc for some antibiotics.

I agree. Don’t douche because it will push anything up further. Just stay hydrated so that you can make all your fluids. I personally would not have sex for a few days or a week to avoid pushing anything up further, but you will probably be OK. Eat live culture yogurt

You’re probably fine. If you notice any odor or itching, go see your GP or call a nurse’s hotline to get an Rx for antibiotics. Otherwise, just leave it alone. You’re more likely to cause itching/irritation and invite yeast and/or infection by using soaps, creams, douches, or anything besides just water.

Honestly, the vagina and anus live in close proximity so it’s not like there’s no contact between the flora there. If you have a decent immune system, you probably won’t have a problem.

I hope you are using a condom during anal sex but regardless, sometimes those slips happen. Dont ever douche your vagina just to say. But you should be okay, going all out and more than once is when you start running risks.

@JemmaWRX:  I’m not the person you were asking originally, but. . . condoms are usually recommended during anal partially so the man doesn’t risk getting stuff up his urethra that doesn’t belong there (hello horrible male urinary tract infection!!!!), and also because I feel like I’ve heard it is extremely easy to transmit Save-The-Date Cards during anal sex. But I’m no expert. . . though I have read a lot of info on sexual health.

@JemmaWRX:

@JemmaWRX:

There a handful of infections a man can get from having his bare penis inside a rectum and in turn, returning them to you when having vaginal intercourse on a later time, which is then refered to as an STD or STI. We can produce them on our own. Its no different then your husband having a cold sore on his mouth or just getting over one and going down on you (or vise versa) and risk giving each other Genital Herpees.

There is just so much bacteria in our rectums (even if we douche before hand) to not use a condom when having anal sex.
