I just found out I was pregnant a few days ago. I was having morning sickness, but at the same time I felt feverish: I had a 101 degree fever later in the day. SO I took tylenol, etc. That’s also when I took the pregnancy test. I also had intestinal problems.
Anyways, to make a long story short, I had a virus mixed in with the morning sickness(which I had for the first time). But that was Friday. The fever was still higher on Saturday/Sunday(99.7/99.5). I went to the Urgent care where they confirmed I was present and said I had a stomach flu virus or something.
Anyways, it is now Tuesday and i am still running a 99.2 fever, I just took some tylenol. I have been reading online that some people’s body temperatures rise during early pregnancy, others don’t. However, when I asked the personal assistant at the doctor’s office if this was normal for pregnancy she said typically not. So my question is, do you think I am still getting over the virus(I feel better) or is this just a pregnancy symptom. Should I still be taking the tylenol? I am worried. I think I might call the doctor again tomorrow, though, cuz I am concerned about continuing to take the tylenol! I wouldn’t normally worry about a 99.2 fever, but I am also in the very early stages of pregnancy and worried about neural tube disorders which can be caused by high fevers, etc.
