I’m not sure if Fiance and I had paid for this extra add-on (we were ushered to the VIP section though when we were awaiting our transportation to the resort).  We were offered drinks and snacks in a small VIP section.  We took up the offer for a glass of champagne but didn’t even get to enjoy it because our ride had already arrived..!  Not worth it, in my opinion ๐Ÿ™‚

The resort itself?  Phenomenal!!

We booked couples swept away, and my understanding is that the arrival lounge is included in the price, but a departure lounge is different and not included unless you pay the extra for it. Otherwise, after you check out of couples swept away and go back to the airport, you will only have access to the general public airport amenities. This is just my understanding of the situation and I could be wrong but it makes sense to me. We did not pay for the departure lounge as I would much rather spend that type of $$ for extras at the resort itself.

@kmarie719:  We booked 6 days, because then we got the 7th day free….and we booked the highest level suite….the Premier Beachfront Suite with the huge wrap around porch and no TV. After tons and tons of research, I really think that is the best option…probably why it costs more then all the others! Whatever you do I do not recommend booking the lowest level of rooms, close to the back of the resort (I think they are called garden and ocean suites), because there might be road noise back there as I’ve read in several reviews. Beachfront suites (incluing premier), beachfront verandah suite, and atrium suite have the most consistently positive reviews from what I have read.

We are planning on booking CSA for our honeymoon too! I am so excited. Originally we were thinking we’d just go with the garden suite, but now I am rethinking it. Looking on their site, I don’t think the info on the different rooms is very helpful- it is kinda hard to tell the difference!

@kmarie719:  Thanks so much for your help! I checked out travelocity last night (with the promo code in hand) and you are absolutely right- it was $300 cheaper than the prices on Couples or even cheapcaribbean.com. We went ahead and booked our honeymoon- we will be staying in an atrium suite too. It looks like you will be going to CSA a few weeks before us- have an amazing time!

We went last May if anyone has any questions! I want to go back so bad. We stayed in the atrium suite and it was fantastic. Didn’t need a tv at all! ๐Ÿ™‚

We are also going to Couples Swept Away in May! So excited! My friend went last year and had a blast!  We have a pool suite upgraded a little from the garden suite next to the road.

We went to Tower Isle in Dec. Amazing! As for the departure, just think about whether you care to be in a lounge atmosphere or in the normal chairs. This is not provided by the resort, it is like an airport VIP upgrade.  Honestly I didnt want drinks at the airport and we had plenty of snacks. It’s just for on the way home, and you can’t really know how long you will be waiting until they let you know when the shuttle is leaving for the airport. Also, don’t worry too much about the rooms. We only slept and changed there. There is so much to do, even if it is just staring at the ocean.

Everyone already gets the arrival drinks, that is through the resort and is just a place to hang out and have a beer before the shuttle leaves.
