When Fiance & I got my e-ring, on the GIA report, it shows a leaf near the specs and indicates that my diamond is from Canada. I thought that Canadian diamonds were supposed to be significantly more expensive, no? My center is a cushion cut 1.11ct, G color, VS2. When I plugged those specs into Blue Nile, it returns a 1.15 cushion cut diamond an F, VS1 (not a huuuuuge difference), and it lists the price at over 14k. I know my ring totaled just under 7k, and the setting was around $1,500, so that means my stone comes in at around $5,500. I’m wondering why there’s such a discrepancy in price, even though it says its from Canada on the GIA cert. Any ideas? I know it’s not something that will make a difference in my life 😉 I’m just really curious. Thank you in advance!
