Sorry if this is silly, but I’m not sure of the answer
so if I am Catholic, and wanted to get married and have it recognized by the Catholic Church..do I have to get married in a catholic church, or can it be a non-denominational church, but with a catholic priest (or will they even do that?)

My fiance is Catholic and we are getting married in my Orthodox church. The church will recognize it, but there is a lot of overlap in the two churches. We had to apply to to the Bishop and his priest will sign off on it. I don’t think the Catholic church will recognize a Protestant marriage, though. They definitely won’t recognize a secular ceremony.
