I don’t think it’s weird to send it to women who already have the same name, but I do think it’s weird to send for gifts that are obviously for both of you. I’d save them for the bridal shower.

@allyouneedislove:  I don’t think who is more likely to use it is the question. I think the celebration is the question. She sent you an engagement gift- that’s for both of you. A gift given at a party that is in honor of you alone- the gifts, while they may be used by both of you- are given to YOU.

@allyouneedislove:  Oh that’s not as clear cut. I think anything “couple-y” is fine for any wedding related event, but maybe the etiquette queens have something more concrete than “That doesn’t make me cringe” to go on 🙂
