Hey bees,
I have a question. I finished taking my birth control pills last month (last sugar pill was on August 19th). I was supposed to get my period yesterday (Sept 12th) but its nowhere in sight.
For those who came off BCP, how long did it take you to get your first period?
P.s. – I never had breakthrough bleeding after stopping, either, like I’ve heard a lot of people do.

When I went off the pill, my period was about two weeks late the first cycle.

Mine was about 33 days, and my cycles have been 35 since then.

My first cycle off BC was 31 days, after that it was 29 most months.

I’m the odd one out– never had a period after I stopped the pill. My doctor gave me progesterone at 9 months of no period to give me a hormonal withdrawal bleed, then after 16 months I was diagnosed with PCOS and had my first “natural” one again after 3 months of Metformin. Now I’m back on the pill and we’re going to figure it out when we’re TTC.

120 days was the length of my first. I had to take provera. But I’ve had mostly ovulatory cycles since, and they’ve gotten more regular.

I don’t remember exactly how long it took to get my first one, but my periods were highly irregular (missed for months at a time) for around 9 months. After that, they finally started to settle down.

Interested in this as well, since I just took my last active pill today!

I had the regular withdrawal bleed after finishing my pack, like I would if I was starting up again as normal. My first real period was around 40 days later, then they slower came down to closer to 30 day cycles. It was definitely a little wonky for the first month or two.
I started charting (temping) right away to help me get a handle on what was happening. I ovulated the first month (although 20 something days in) so I was able to guesstimate that my period would start about 2 weeks after that (and it did, roughly).

Update: I finally got my period today! So it looks like my 1st cycle off was 35 days.
