Don’t doubt yourself! Smile I think what you have is good, but you could also add a specific detail about working there if you have one, or something specific you talked about in the interview. You could totally say something about how it is an exciting company like you suggested at the bottom. You should definitely email him to thank him for the interview, so don’t feel weird about doing it.

I always email a thank you note following an interview. I usually thank them for their time, reference something that was discussed in the interview, reinterate how I’m a good fit for the position and my interest in the company, then end with “I’m looking forward to hearing from you soon” and wish them luck with their interview process (I worked in HR before and know it’s kind of a pain :)). If you need examples, you can always Google interview thank you letters! GL!
