FYI that gorgeous clear batter bowl is available for any of the artisan tilt head mixers. I WANT it!

I’ve had mine for years, before they had fun colors. I have white, but if I could switch I’d pick pink.

I use it all the time, a few times a week at least. Usually for cookies or baking.

I would love to have one in red, as that is my favorite color!  But I may end up choosing less of a trendy color like chrome when we actually start to register.  We shall see!

I am totally putting one on my registry! I had borrowed one from my Dad last year for Christmas cookie time, it made things 5x faster! I finally gave it back to him this summer, not that he EVER uses it and I’m missing it.

I would go with whatever color you want. Most people don’t leave it sitting out on the counter or anything so if it’s a wild fun color that doesn’t match your kitchen, nobody will ever know!

I make tuna salad in mine and its so easy!! It blends it so its chunky but smooth at the same time – just dump in the ingredients, put it on low, add the dressing and run on medium for a minute or so until blended. Cleanup is so easy and its so fast!! Also all baking – scones, cookies, cake batter, bread dough (with the dough hook). The ice cream maker is awesome, but we’ll seriously be 300 lbs if we keep using it, so im trying to resist….i find that i use it even for stuff that I could whisk by hand because its so easy to clean up – just rinse off the paddle and the bowl you’d have to use anyway. WIN!

besides all of the baked goods mentioned, I use mine to mix meatloaf/meatball mixtures.  I hate mixing ground meat with my hands and the KA does a great job.

My 13 yr old son said the sound of the KA whirring in the kitchen is the sound of love.

I also use it to knead dough for homemade noodles.

I use it for baking, it’s ridiculously amazing.  I also got an attachment, a grater that you can use for cheese or veggies.  I’m obsessed with it.  I think I grated every vegetable I had in the fridge.  I’m also eyeing the pasta maker, but it’s a tad bit expensive.

I have the anniversary one, and it only comes in red. And it is the most gorgeous thing to ever sit on my counter top. A little bold for me, but it’s so pretty I don’t even care.

It is awesome!  My mother-in-law and husband bought it as a house warming gift for me when I bought my condo (back when we were dating and not living together).  We recently took it apart to re-greece it (should be done every year).  I got tons of attachments for the wedding and the most useful by far has been the pasta attachment.  I use it almost every week and we almost never buy pasta anymore.  I have also used the pasta attachment to roll out thinner smaller pieces of fondant and it worked great.  The ice-cream attachment is also awesome.  We use the meat grinder attachment to grind chicken as it is cheeper to buy chicken breasts at Walmart and grind them ourselves than to buy ground chicken at the store.  I hope you get it for your wedding, if you don’t use some of your wedding money to buy it!  You won’t regret it!

I have a yellow Accolade, and I use it at least once a week to make bread or pizza dough.  I wouldn’t have even considered a color other than yellow.  If I do change the color scheme in my kitchen somewhere down the road, I figure I can just have the thing powder coated.  After all, I’ve had it for nearly five years now with no sign of slowing.  It will hopefully remain my longest lasting countertop appliance.

By The Way, before I had a KitchenAid, I used a Sunbeam that was my grandmother’s.  It was a wedding present given to her 50 years ago.  My sister has it now and it’s still going strong.  It has a stationary head and a turntable on which the bowl spins, and I think that there’s something to be said for the fact that the original motor is still going strong after all these years.  A good stand mixer is essential equipment.

We selected chrome because it will match our kitchen (we have granite countertops with black appliances, and white/black/chrome decor).

I really hope we get one! I may do a happy dance if we get one. lol

I’ve been going back and forth between metallic chrome and empire red, but after reading everything here, I think I’ll stick with the red. It’s just so much more fun, and I really don’t care if it matches the kitchen. I really hope we get it!
