lol jk

People don’t “need” alcohol to have fun.  There’s going to be music and happiness.  People will dance and eat and be merry.  With or without wine!

If you’re honestly really worried about it, I have seen some people have games at their receptions.  Maybe you and your bridal party can organize a game or two for people to play if they start to get “bored.”

I did not have alcohol at my wedding (other than a single glass of champagne as an option during the toast), and our guests seemed to have a wonderful time at our wedding. We made sure to have top-notch food for our hors d’oeuvres hour as well as our plated dinner, and we had an absolutely amazing and delicious cake.  We also had a great DJ.

We cannot afford to have alcohol at the wedding but we’re setting up games instead, I wouldn’t worry about it. It is about you and just celebrating your union people do not need alcohol and plus they’ll be able to drive home safely which is always good!

just make sure there’s a lot of stuff to do! People tend to congregate at the bar durring down time (before meals are served, between courses, right after dinner while the dance floor is warming up), and if the wedding isn’t consistently eventful people will start to get bored. If you space out your first dances, toasts, garter and boquet, and throw in some fun newer traditions (aniversary dance, dollar dance) people will constantly be entertained.. I think the idea is to not give them the opportunity to think about the lack of a bar and it won’t be a problem.
