(Closed) question about recessional or greeting??

Okay so what are your plans after the recessional? I’ve seen it done two diff ways where the bride and groom will go row by row and greet each guest for coming and then I’ve seen it where the bride and groom and bridal party line up in order and the guests get released row by row and go up and say hi, thanks for coming etc. Here’s the other thing, we are having our reception at the same place downstairs so is this stupid to do?

We did a line up where us and our immediate family stood in a line and everyone came by so we could say hi to them.  I think it’s a bit easier that way than expecting everyone to sit in their seats while you come to them.

We had our reception at the same place, so we had the receiving line to get people out on the front lawn so that they could take out the chairs and put in the tables for dinner.
