(Closed) question about RSVPs

i’ve never heard of someone following up. every wedding i’ve been to, i never got a follow up. i mean, if someone asks if you received it, then you’re more than welcome to confirm. but in any other situation? i don’t think a follow up is needed.

@julyweddinglovebirds:  anytime. i forgot to add, i’d follow up if there was a mistake or something as well. like, if someone forgot to check off a menu choice or if there was a question on the number of people. but in any normal situation? no follow up is needed.

While it might not be following the tradition, with the ease of confirming available (a text or email), I would encourage letting them know you have received the RSVP. When we sent out our save the dates we heard just about nothing, very few congratulations or anything. And while they didn’t have to respond, it would have been nice.
