1. I would say 6 months out is a good timeframe, we did ours then and it seems like any earlier would have been forgotten.

2. I did use our colors, but I don’t think you *have* to.

3. I also would like to know opinions on this, I thought about it to myself earlier today.

It can be overwhelming! Just take a biiiiig breath haha.

1. 4-6 months prior and invitations at 2 months (according to some timeline I downloaded, no telling that is the end all, im sure you can fudge a little in either dirrection)

2. I think if you can find invites that are in your wedding colour or are in the same ‘theme’ as your wedding then yes you should certainly use them! But if your wedding is Aqua and sage and you have fallen in love with lavendar invitations I doubt anyone is really going to care incredibly much.

3. again, if you can find them all that do match then props to you for being coordinated and organized but it is not the end of the world if they do  not match, (and really who is going to notice that your thank you card and your save the dates have different colour schemes? When would they see those things together?)

(1) How early should we send out our Save the Dates?

6 months, longer if it’s a destination wedding. For invitations 2 months.

(2) Should I use my wedding colours for my invites?

My wedding venue colors are champaigne ivory, so to set the feel of the reception, my invitations were ivory with champaigne color ribbon. But don’t think you have to match.

(3) Should my Save the dates / Wedding Invites / Thank you cards “match”?

I don’t think there’s a rule that you have to match. My save the dates were pink, while my invitations were ivory.

Good luck, have fun!!!
