Over 50% of my family is out of town and only a handful of FI’s family is out of town. The question is, is it too early to send out save the dates? Our date is 6.4.11. I feel that my family would appreciate it. Yet, FI’s who live within minutes of us, might just laugh or throw the STD aside. Would it be bad if I just send the STD to my Out of Town members now and wait to send it locals? Thanks!

@taricha: nope, not too early! it’s less than a year away, so by the time you get Save-The-Date Cards ordered and printed and ready to go, you’re looking at maybe 10 months out, which is fine.

woohoo another austin bride!! 🙂
i agree–if you really want to send them out now, go for it. it’s less than a year away. we waited until about 7 1/2 months out even though we have a TON of out of state guests. we had already sent most of them the website information, and i know a handful made plane reservations at about 9 months out (tickets were REALLY cheap!).
