We have the UppaBaby Vista!  And we LOOOVE it.   Baby isnt here yet, but we take it for walks with the dog so he gets used to it and seriously, its incredible.  The tires are foam, so they never go flat, but are more durable than plastic, there is a great amount of storage under the seat, you can covert it later into a double (tandem, not side by side) and it strolls SO EASILY.  Plus it comes with the bassinet, the regular seat, and we got the car seat converter, so id we need to, we can just snap the carseat in and go instead of packing up the bassinet.

DH is 6’3″, and the handle height is great for him.  That was an issue on a lot of other strolelrs for us (including the Bugaboo.)

To us, the perks are absolutely worth the cost.  I have a lot of mom friends who have lesser quality strollers and wish theyd just paid the cost up front for a better one because it would have better suited their needs.  Keep in mind I live in NYC-we do a lot of walking around here, so strollers are used a LOT.

ALSO – Buy Buy Baby WILL allow you to use your registry completion discount on the stroller.  We used it on ours, so I KNOW they will.  It says its excluded, but the only excuded things on reg completion are diapers, wipes, and formula.

We have 2 Maclaren Technos. Love love love it. It’s light, I can fold it down with one hand, and it folds down really small.

We also have a Vista and love it (like KellyV the baby isn’t here yet, but unlike her my husband won’t allow me to go on walks with it unless I borrow an actual kid to put in it…poo).  It comes with the bassinet and I don’t foresee using our car seat (Snugride) with it if at all.  The little car seat attachment thing isn’t expensive at all, so I’m confused why you need to buy a different (or another) car seat.

It also has the ability to attach a rumble seat and becomes a 2 child stroller.

@eurekaanchovies:  i have the UPPAbaby vista and love it and would definitely recommend!  we live in NYC so we use it a ton and it’s gotten so much mileage.  It rides so smoothly, steers so easily and my daughter (now 7 months old) almost always falls asleep in it.  It’s a little higher than the Bugaboo so it is really great for tall people, but our nanny is quite petite and has no problems at all with it.  My baby outgrew the basinet at about 4 months and we switched the upright chair which can be adjusted to recline at different angles and can face either forward or backwards.  I’d say the one drawback is the size.  It’s a bit wider and bulkier than other strollers so it’s not the most convenient to bring to restaurants or the subway or places where space is limited.  And narrow sidewalks can be a challenge, but it really does steer amazingly well, so it really isn’t a huge issue in the end.  It is an awesome stroller and will definitely go the distance, if you’re going to do a lot of walking, it is totally worth the investment.

I have a baby jogger summit and I love it. It sounds like the city select or city elite might fit the bill for you, without suhc a high price tag. The city elite allows you to adjust the handle height and there is a car seat adapter for both models. The City select can change into a tandem double stroller as well, with many different positions.

I really wanted the Uppababy Vista, but my husband felt it was too heavy and wide.  Our son is now almost 3 months and we don’t have a stroller yet.  We do have a snap and go that we’ve used a few times, but I mostly just wear my baby.  I’m planning to get an umbrella stroller (maybe Uppababy G-Luxe) a little later.  I’m glad we ended up waiting and seeing what our stroller needs would be before making a purchase.

If you do want the Vista and like the yellow (Maya) color, it is on sale for $500 on http://www.albeebaby.com which I think is a pretty good deal.

I feel like I have done a TON of stroller research and baby wont be here until Sept!  I was very interested in the Uppa, but ultimately registered for the Britax B-Ready.  I read a ton of reviews (www.babygizmo.com has FANTASTIC video reviews of a lot of higher end strollers) and finally trekked out to buy buy baby (the closest one to us is about 1 hour a way) to compare a few.  It came down to the Uppa, the b-ready and the city select (actually, we were able to eliminate the uppa fairly quickly because of price…and the other two are so similar!).  We decided on the b-ready over the city select because of the handle and the handling of the stroller.  We did really like the configuration of the city select in doubles mode.  The b-ready does not come with the bassinet, but you can get one, and you can get in the $400 range from Amazon.  Oh, another reason we chose it…we are getting the britax chaperone infant seat and it attaches very nicely to the stroller.

We couldn’t afford the UBV but ended up with the Britax B-Ready and Chaperone which is very similar.  For both the car seat and stroller we paid $400 (free shipping and tax from Amazon).

I really love it even though our baby won’t be here for another month!
